Pakar Väyrynen, a politician, has resigned from the Helsinki Council. He had to move his book to Kemi in order to be there as a municipal candidate.
In Helsinki as a city councilor influenced the politician Paavo Väyrynen has applied for resignation. Väyrynen, who represented a one-person council group called Terve Helsinki, resigned on 31 March.
On the phone, Väyrynen acknowledges his resignation briefly by standing as a candidate in this year’s municipal elections in Kemi. In order to run for office, he has also had to move to Kemi.
“I’ll be nominated, and I have already now a resident of Kemi,” Väyrynen said.
Other Väyrynen has no political plans for the near future. For more information, Väyrynen suggested reading the content of his blog.
“Are Anemone acquired an ownership home from Kemi. The apartment in Kemi is our fourth home, ”Väyrynen wrote in his blog.
In his blog on March 29, Väyrynen explains that the Kemi municipal organization in the city center has written to him asking him to run as a candidate in the municipal elections. Outright, Väyrynen says that he refused but ended up accepting the candidacy because of his local political goal.
Decision Withdrawal from Helsinki’s municipal policy was also preceded by the rejection of Väyrynen on the candidacy of the mayor of the center. Väyrynen would have been available for the mayoral race, however candidate for the Center was elected Eeva Kärkkäinen. He serves as the party’s leading minister of science and culture Annika Saarikon as a special assistant.
“For the sake of certainty, my mayoral candidacy was prevented by the fact that the district government did not even accept me as a municipal candidate,” Väyrynen wrote in his blog.
Väyrynen has had a long career in the Center Party, also as the party’s chairman. He has formed two new parties, both of which he has resigned.
New becomes a Helsinki representative Mauri Venemies until the end of the current term. The boatman represents the Christian Democrat and Blue council.
The actual voting day for the municipal elections is Sunday, June 13th.
