The incompatibility causes problems in imaging services in Espoo, for example, in several other municipalities in Uusimaa and in hospital districts that purchase Hus’ services.
Helsinki and the Uusimaa Hospital District (Hus) criticizes Apotti oy in great terms.
This is the part of the information system related to Apoti’s imaging studies, which is facing massive problems weeks after its April launch.
For example, an X-ray referral to an Espoo resident at a health center may be lost on the way or the health center doctor may not be able to see his or her patient’s examination results at all.
The fault is not directly in Apot but in the fact that it does not work with other health information systems.
For example, in Espoo, primary health care uses another system and the data is not transferred correctly between this system and Apot. The same applies to the municipalities of Porvoo, Lohja and Central Uusimaa, for example. Hus also sells imaging services to other hospital districts in Kymenlaakso, for example.
The incompatibility does not apply to Helsinki and Vantaa, where the cities’ own health services are already in Apoti.
The fault also affects the invoicing. Thus, not to invoices sent to the patient, but to those which Hus would send to the party who ordered the examinations.
Also, appointment scheduling is not possible electronically from municipalities that are not themselves in Apoti. This in turn has blocked telephone services and angered people.
A complaint to Apot, which Hus’s government handled on Monday, demands that the deficiencies be rectified immediately and that no additional money be charged for this. In the four weeks since the April launch, repairs have been made, but Hus’s complaint says the system is not yet working as promised.
Abbot was introduced in a large part of Husia 2020. In April, imaging and part of the City of Helsinki’s social and health services were transferred to the system. HS wrote about imaging problems April 26, the city side of the introduction of congested health stations telephone services.
It has been criticized by many professionals Apottia difficult use. According to Hus, for example, the system has improved pharmacovigilance.
