More than one million voters took part in the primaries of United Russia on the first day. It is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the party.
According to the head of the federal organizing committee for preliminary voting, Alexander Karelin, residents of the Sverdlovsk, Moscow, Novosibirsk and Ryazan regions, as well as Kuzbass and Kuban, were particularly active.
“More than a million voters across the country took part in the preliminary voting of United Russia on the first day. DDoS attacks on the site of the procedure did not affect the protection of data on the voting process, ”the message says.
Karelin noted that everyone can register as a voter until May 28, and vote – until May 30 inclusive. According to him, on May 30, in 42 regions where voting takes place according to a mixed system, counting areas will also be opened.
Earlier on May 24, a massive DDoS attack was carried out on the United Russia website. The head of the party’s IT projects Vyacheslav Sateev told about this. He stated that the site of the preliminary voting of the party PG.ER.RU was subjected to a cyberattack. According to him, such attacks should not affect the voting procedure.
