Moscow has a record decline in the choice of new apartments

Over the year by May 2021, the supply of new buildings within the boundaries of old Moscow (excluding Novomoskovsky and Troitsky districts) decreased by 33 percent. This is a record decline in the entire modern history of the capital’s real estate market, evidenced by materials from the Azbuka Housing Agency provided to Lente.ru.

As analysts have found out, a year ago, sales of new buildings were going on in 93 districts of Moscow, at the moment there is a choice of housing under construction in 91 districts. A total of 25.55 thousand new apartments are exhibited in the city, more than 70 percent of this volume is presented in the zone from the Third Transport Ring to the Moscow Ring Road. The most developed areas include: Danilovsky (about 2 thousand apartments for sale), Filevsky Park (1.4 thousand apartments), Lyublino (1.26 thousand).

“The decrease in the total volume of supply over the past year is associated with a record sales volume, which has led to a high rate of flushing of apartments from the market of new buildings,” experts explain. “At the same time, a large number of new projects continue to enter the market. For comparison: according to the results of the first quarter, the implementation of 15 new residential complexes began, and in the same period of 2020, only 12 new projects appeared. “

Earlier in May, it became known that the areas with the worst reputation are the most popular among buyers of new housing in Moscow: Kapotnya, Biryulevo and Golyanovo. New settlers are buying up real estate in these locations because of its low cost.
