Russian President Vladimir Putin assessed the pace of implementation of the state defense order, Izvestia TV channel reports.
The head of state noted that the timely measures taken made it possible to maintain the rhythm and stability of the work of all production processes, the required rates of R&D, serial production, modernization and repair of weapons and equipment. As a result, the tasks of the state defense order last year were fulfilled by 99.8%.
“These are good indicators. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that it is important to continue to supply the troops with advanced weapons and equipment on time and on schedule, especially with long technological production cycles. I mean, first of all, of course, equipment for the Aerospace Forces and the Navy, ”Putin said.
He stressed that the construction and modernization of 20 surface ships of the far sea zone should be completed within the timeframes set by state contracts, 145 new and modernized aircraft should be supplied to the Aerospace Forces.
