Cars without special paint will appear in Moscow for secret surveillance of traffic offenders

The head of the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate, Alexander Bykov, said that the department bought cars without the usual departmental paintwork in order to secretly identify traffic offenders. The cars will appear in Moscow to remind drivers of the “controllability” of their movement, reports RIA News

Bykov said that the traffic police units in Moscow received cars in a standard design. They will work together with patrol cars, which have a departmental color-graphic coloring. Traffic policemen in cars without special paint will secretly monitor drivers and record such traffic violations as crossing a solid marking line, entering an oncoming lane, talking on the phone without a special device and not wearing a seat belt.

“Thus, we show the drivers that their movement is under control even at a time when there are no photo-video cameras or a patrol car on the site,” Bykov emphasized.

In addition, traffic police officers in standard cars will be released from the obligation to wear a uniform. At the same time, only inspectors in departmental clothes will be able to stop and fine violators, after their colleagues report information about unscrupulous drivers. URA.RU

Earlier it became known that Moscow drivers stopped receiving fines receipts. It is assumed that this happened due to a failure in the system for issuing traffic fines.
