The municipality of Torreón works for its municipal police to acquire an international certification this year, revealed the mayor, Jorge Zermeño Infante.
“The issue of security, as I have said, we have to be constantly working and reviewing. I think we are doing well in general terms so that the police have what they need, in addition to the programs with the neighbors themselves have helped us ”.
He referred that certification could be obtained before the end of this administration municipal.
“We are working on a certification with an institution called CALEA. This will allow us to give greater certainty to the work of the police and we hope to have it in two or three months because we are already advanced ”.
Regarding the indicators reviewed in the last control and monitoring panel, he mentioned that the seven homicides that occurred in recent days alerted them, but the investigations were followed up.
“Lately there has been a series of homicides and this raised a kind of alarm, but in the investigations almost everything has to do with personal or passionate issues.”
And he added: “they are situations that unfortunately came together, but they do not correspond to an organized crime issue.”
