Rock in your language has been one of the most successful music campaigns in Spanish-language music for more than 24 years, uniting Latin American and Spanish exponents in a unique experience of union and tribute. Now, they are announcing their return to the great stages of the country, adapting to the needs of current presentations, but without neglecting their musical work.
That is why the format of ‘private outdoor boxes’, implemented by OCESA in turn 4 of the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, has become the great bet for the big concerts, with the possibility of hosting thousands of attendees, but maintaining the strictest prevention and biosafety standards.
“It is a privilege to have the opportunity to be on this stage once again in this format that still seems strange to me, but it has a different load of emotion and how this reaction is perceived that you have from people towards what you are doing on stage ”, explained in a face-to-face conference the musician and producer Sabo Romo, who also presents himself as the head of Rock en tu Idioma.
“Of course to ‘Rock en tu Idioma’, as a quite functional collective, makes it very clear that we have to do our best to not lose this quality of entertainers that we have, which I think is a very valuable quality ”, he added.
Accompanied by María Barracuda, Humberto Calderón and Eliseo Reyna, Sabo explained that the main objective of Rock en tu lengua continues to be to reinterpret the greatest hits of music in Spanish., revitalize them and “put them back on the radar” of the public, as well as support to put a face to all the authors and composers of these songs.
For her part, the singer-songwriter María Barracuda and Humberto Calderón, a member of the Neón group, highlighted the unique quality of this presentation, marking a watershed in their careers and a point in common between them and the public., who is also looking forward to a new and safe experience.
“We are combining these two priorities; keep us alive and stay alive from the soul. I think that right now we are fulfilling these two objectives very well and having you here is super nice because we know that there is an expectation on that side and the day this moment arrives is going to be magical ”, explained María Barracuda.
Given this, Humberto Calderón added: “It is an incredible blessing to have this, in November it was unthinkable, but we are here again, hopefully everything will improve.. This is going to be part of a story and just like when the first album of each of the bands came out, this for all the people will be like: “Do you remember that year when we were saved, do you remember when we started to return” Let’s hope that stays and that we are part of that history as well ”.
