The first shift of the volunteer camp opened in the Pskov region

In the Pskov region, on the shores of Lake Peipsi, the first session of the youth volunteer camp has opened. About it Pskov Information Agency said the first deputy chairman of the regional committee for culture Vera Alekseeva.

The camp is located in the village of Samolva, Gdovskiy district. The first shift will last from 1 to 13 July, and the last will end on 13 September. It is expected that during this time about 80 people will visit the camp.

Now on the shores of Lake Peipsi there are 11 volunteers from the Pskov region, Astrakhan, Kaliningrad and Volgograd. During the shift, young people will study the need of local residents for volunteers, organize a thematic exhibition in the village, create and conduct excursions, and also assist in preparing for the opening of the memorial complex “Alexander Nevsky with the squad”.

The work of the volunteer camp is organized within the framework of the national project “Culture”.

On June 29, the head of the regional executive committee of the All-Russian Popular Front in the Sverdlovsk Region, Zhanna Ryabtseva, told Izvestia that during the coronavirus pandemic, volunteer assistance is especially in demand, so the consolidation of all public organizations is really important.

Earlier on the same day, a selector took place – a meeting of volunteer and youth public associations and United Russia on the deployment and activation of anti-pandemic volunteer work. The united volunteer headquarters included activists of the party, ONF, the all-Russian movements “WeVmeste”, “Volunteers-doctors”, “Volunteers of Victory”, “Student detachments”, “Russian Union of Rural Youth” and “Young Guard of United Russia”.
