The President of Moldova announced the new government in need of US support

Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that the new government of the republic needs US support to implement its political program. It is reported by TASS

“The announced agenda is complex and ambitious, and the support of development partners, including the United States, which has been one of the strategic partners of the Republic of Moldova for 29 years, will be a real help,” the presidential press service said.

Sandu noted that the plans of the new government include a large-scale fight against corruption, reform of the judicial system, modernization of education, healthcare, as well as agricultural and environmental policy.

Earlier, the head of the republic wanted to make a revolution in governing the country, speaking at the first session of parliament. “Now is the time for a revolution in government,” Sandu said, stressing the need for qualitative changes in government.

Early parliamentary elections were held in Moldova on July 11. The President of the Republic, Maia Sandu, signed a decree on the dissolution of the current composition of deputies on April 28, accusing them of usurping power. She explained that she made such a decision in order to ensure national security and counteract attempts to “undermine the constitutional order.”
