The deceased was found during the firefighting work.

In Savonlinna In Kerimäki, a wooden house of about 80 square meters burned unrepairable on Sunday evening, the South Savo Rescue Department said.

The building was in full swing when the rescue department arrived on the scene. A man who died in the fire was found in the house.

The rescue service received an alarm of the fire after seven in the evening. Rescue personnel from the Savonlinna, Kerimäki and Punkaharju fire stations were sent to the scene.
