Through his social networks, the governor of Colima, Jose Ignacio Peralta Sánchez, reported that the passage of the now tropical storm ‘Nora’ left effects in three aspects in the entity: agriculture, housing and public infrastructure.
Fortunately, the director of the State Civil Protection Unit, Ricardo Ursúa Moctezuma, confirmed white balance due to “the overflowing of rivers and strong gusts of wind, fortunately they did not claim lives.”
The Hurricane Pass #Nora left a considerable amount of damage to crops, public infrastructure, housing; among other affectations.

Regarding the damage to the infrastructure, important road sections remain closed this Sunday night, such as the one that joins the states of Colima and Jalisco, by coastal road.
The cyclone caused the overflow of the Zanja Prieta channel in Tecomán, as well as the Marabasco River, in Manzanillo, which caused the breaking of one of its barriers, affecting the surrounding areas and the closure of the Manzanillo Airport.
This phenomenon generated landslides on the Villa de Álvarez-Minatitlán highway, where they work to remove them and on this same route they overflowed the Arroyo Seco, interrupting the flow of vehicles in that area for a couple of hours.
Also, the road Manzanillo-Minatitlán It is obstructed by the increase in the riverbed, at the height of the ford “El Carrizo”, as well as the road Comala-La Becerrera It is obstructed by various landslides and the one that goes from Coquimatlán to Jala, at the height of the Negro bridge, by the overflow of the Colima River.
There were damages on the beaches of El Real and Pascuales, in Tecomán; El Paraíso, in Armería, and La Boquita, in Manzanillo, suffered damages derived from the strong waves and gusts of wind throughout the coastal area. Given the damage, a temporary shelter was set up in Manzanillo in Conalep, which housed 30 people from various areas of this municipality.
In addition, derived from the strong winds were recorded damage to structures in Manzanillo, Tree falls were also recorded in the three coastal municipalities and in the northern part of the state, affecting the overhead electric power and telephone networks due to the strong wind.
Regarding the effects on productive activities, the hectares of various crops that were severely damaged will hardly begin to be accounted for.
