SAO PAULO (Reuters) – This Wednesday, Petrobras signed a contract with Ream Participações, which belongs to the partners of Atem’s Distribuidora, for the sale of the Isaac Sabbá refinery (Reman) and its associated logistical assets, in Amazonas, for 189, 5 million dollars, the company informed in a material fact.
According to the company, 28.4 million dollars were paid this Wednesday and 161.1 million dollars will be paid at the closing of the operation, which is subject to the fulfillment of precedent conditions, such as approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade ).
The deal is part of a plan by the oil company that aims to sell all its refineries outside the states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
Reman is the second refinery to have the purchase and sale agreement signed, among the eight that are in the process of being sold. Previously, the company announced the sale of the Landulpho Alves Refinery (Rlam), in Bahia, to Mubadala, for 1.65 billion dollars.
