The Mexican Association of the Photovoltaic Industry (AMIF) and the Jalisco State Energy Agency (AEEJ), signed an agreement to strengthen ties and team up for greater professionalization and best practices of local entrepreneurs.

The general director of the AEEJ, Víctor Cervantes, highlighted that Jalisco is a leading entity in installed power and number of distributed generation contracts, and the local market is innovating and developing.

“We have a state energy plan that is very clear: encourage and promote as much as possible so that the industry grows; facilitate access to all populations to these technologies, and above all, professionalize the sector, “said Víctor Cervantes.

For his part, the president of the board of directors of the AMIF, Leonardo Velasco mentioned that in the photovoltaic industry there are many things that must be taken care of and standardized.

“The technology is, the will is, so now We have to orchestrate all this at the legislative and technological level. I believe that we have a very great opportunity to be a great example for the country ”, added the president of the AMIF board of directors.

The signed agreement will seek to work together on research, as well as develop studies or projects in the areas of their respective competencies.

In addition, the participation of technical specialists from both parties will be sought in comprehensive projects of technological development, research and innovation, as well as promote the participation of students and staff within the projects they jointly develop.
