Embassy of Israel and Morocco plant trees in Bosque de Aragón

As a symbol for peace in the Middle East, the embassies of Israel and Morocco, together with the government of the Mexico City, they planted 106 trees in the Aragon Forest.

“We are implementing these Abrahamic agreements, with content, and for both countries nature and the environment are very important issues,” he told MILLENNIUM Zvi Tal, Israeli ambassador to Mexico.

Interviewed separately, the Moroccan ambassador said that “planting trees is a great symbol of friendship and good faith and a willingness to work together.”

In addition to honoring the peace treaties in the Middle East, the planting of trees this Friday was given as part of the support of both countries for the Green Challenge of the capital government.

“What is sought is a construction of the future for all humanity,” he said during the press conference prior to the ceremony, Marina Robles García, Secretary of the Environment of Mexico City.

The trees were planted in the Jardin de las Campanas in the midst of a strong joint security system between elements of the Secretariat for Citizen Security (SSC) and security agents from the embassies.

In total, 66 examples of stone pine, black pine, ash and aile were planted, donated by the two embassies and the Keren Kayemet Leisrael organization.

In addition to 40 other specimens of native species such as tronadora, guaje, tejocote and pine that were contributed by the administration of the Aragon Forest.
