No one was seriously injured in the fire.
Southern Savonia A fire broke out in an apartment building in Rantasalmi on Tuesday night. Residents of the apartment on the second floor escaped the fire by jumping from the balcony, the South Savo Rescue Department said in a statement. Three people fled the apartment.
No one was seriously injured in the fire. A few had inhaled the flue gases. First aid accurately exposed to smoke.
The fire did not spread to other apartments. As late as midnight, the attic and upper floor of the building were extinguished.
The release says the cause of the fire is still unknown.
The emergency center received a notice of the fire on Rantasalmi’s Siilinkuja shortly before 11 p.m.
