He said that in the Smolensk, Bryansk, Oryol, Kaluga, Ryazan, Tula, Tambov, Lipetsk and Voronezh regions, up to 30 millimeters of precipitation may fall, that is, about half the monthly norm for September. The forecaster added that on Monday, September 20, in some areas of the Tver, Yaroslavl and Moscow regions, the first snow may fall. However, it will still melt in the air and will remain invisible to most residents of the Central Federal District.
Earlier, Tishkovets said that on Monday, September 20, a heavy downpour may begin in Moscow, which has not been recorded for 73 years. According to the forecaster, the capital may receive from 16 to 21 millimeters of precipitation. In the Moscow region, most of the rain will be in the western, southwestern and southern regions.
In addition, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, warned the Russians about a cold snap and rains in the center of the European part of the country. He noted that in the coming days, in general, the thermometer promises to be below normal.
