In cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Residents Office of the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, the regulatory and supervisory authority for the healthcare sector in the emirate, announced the update of health insurance requirements for applicants for golden residency permits, with the aim of simplifying the application process for all applicants from within and outside the country and to facilitate their move to live and settle in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The Department of Health has defined the requirements and procedures related to health insurance for the purposes of issuing the golden residency in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. 23 of 2005 and its amendments and executive regulations. As for the second category, it included applicants for golden residence permits other than the first category, where they must provide comprehensive health insurance for themselves and members of their families valid in the United Arab Emirates during the period of their stay in it, and if the applicant for a golden residence permit does not have health insurance, he must provide A pledge to provide it, otherwise he must bear all the costs of medical treatment and health services if necessary, and the new procedures for obtaining golden residency include simplified and clear options for each category according to the requirements stated.
