+++ Update, 6:52 p.m .: The Bundeswehr Air Force has been involved in the transfer of corona intensive care patients within Germany for the first time since Friday. An A310 MedEvac medical aircraft flew to Memmingen in Bavaria on Friday to bring six seriously ill people to North Rhine-Westphalia. This is intended to relieve the hospitals in regions particularly hard hit by Corona.
The plane with the intensive care patients landed at Münster / Osnabrück airport in the early evening. In North Rhine-Westphalia, the corona situation is nowhere near as bad as in Bavaria, one of the most severely affected federal states. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days is 274.2 in NRW, well below the national average (438.2). According to Friday’s figures, the country still has 362 intensive care beds with ventilation options available for very severe cases.

New mutant discovered – Söder calls for “federal emergency brake”
+++ Update, 11.45 a.m .: Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder has asked the federal government to act quickly in view of the current corona crisis. This was reported by the German Press Agency on Friday (November 26th, 2021). “We need an effective national containment strategy,” he said on Friday in Rosenheim.
What is needed is a “uniform federal emergency brake” and a faster conference of prime ministers. In the best case scenario, a general compulsory vaccination should be introduced as early as January 1st. Given the new Virus mutation from South Africa is also an entry ban* required from this country.
Söder got together with Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (both CSU*) a picture of the corona situation in the hotspot regions in southeast Bavaria. In the morning they met with representatives from the city of Rosenheim and the surrounding districts.

Corona news in Germany: Pressure on those who refuse to be vaccinated is increasing

New corona measures: Söder pleads for early federal-state meetings
