NFL pro Henry Ruggs III of the Las Vegas Raiders was involved in a fatal traffic accident on Tuesday. According to police, the 22-year-old apparently under the influence of alcohol collided with his Chevrolet in Las Vegas with a Toyota, which went up in flames after the collision.
The Toyota driver died at the scene of the accident, Ruggs was rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. When the officials arrived, the NFL professional showed “signs of impairment”. Ruggs will be “charged with fatal drunk driving,” said the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.
The Raiders only confirmed on Tuesday that Receiver Ruggs, who the club had selected in 2020 in twelfth place in the first draft, was involved in the accident: “We are in the process of receiving further information and will not comment on it.”
