Mayors must be given the opportunity to temporarily close supporters’ sections or, if necessary, the entire stadium in the event of misconduct. If it is up to Mayor Paul Depla of Breda, that is one of the measures against the flaring up of violence in and around the stadiums. He also advocates that clubs receive penalty points if they do not have their safety policy in order.
