His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum welcomed President Joko Widodo and his accompanying delegation, expressing the UAE’s pride in the close friendship and cooperation relations that exist between the two countries, and the UAE’s aspiration to push forward the partnership paths in the various main sectors that support the development trends of the two friendly countries. His Highness said in a tweet on Twitter yesterday: “While receiving the Indonesian President, Joko Widodo at the Expo, we signed agreements with Indonesia in the fields of aviation, petroleum, energy, investment protection, financial payment systems and others. During the meeting, the two sides also discussed ways to advance the fields of cooperation in many vital sectors that form basic pillars within the development plans in the two countries, including the sectors of investment, energy, technology, financial services, travel, tourism and infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of creating space for private sector companies on both sides.
