After years of tradition, Fátima Bernardes will no longer be in charge of Globo’s Carnival coverage. The request to leave the function came from the presenter who believes she has already finished her cycle in the specials at the party.
Globo stated in a press release that it is still awaiting confirmation that the event will be held next year so that the professionals who will be involved in the coverage can be defined. The information is from Uol.
Despite Fátima’s departure from the role, she will continue in charge of the Encontro program, on the channel’s mornings, in 2022. After her vacation, the presenter should resume the program on January 24th.

Fátima Bernardes was left out of Globo’s year-end vignette for the first time since she started at the channel. The event caused controversy on social media with the possible departure of the journalist from the station, but, in fact, she did not participate for health reasons.
During her program, Fátima said she is sure the project will be beautiful. “I’m sad that I didn’t participate in the recording. It’s a very nice moment and I was newly operated when it was recorded, in October, and I couldn’t participate”, he explained.
In October, Fátima left due to surgery. She performed a shoulder correction procedure. During a rest period, the presenter was away from the morning for more than a month and only returned on November 22nd.
