The series La Casa de Papel is coming to an end. The second part of its final season premieres this Friday (3), on the Netflix streaming platform. Finally, there will be the outcome of the robbery of the Central Bank of Spain.
Despite being the last part of season 5 of the series, the author, Álex Pina, has promised a spin-off (a new work derived from the series) on Netflix. The promise, however, does not yet have a date and not much information. What is known, so far, is that she will be based in Berlin, a character from La Casa de Papel, played by Pedro Alonso.

The Cast of La Casa de Papel
Great Spanish actors are part of the acclaimed series, which was successful worldwide. The cast features:

- Miguel Herrán (Río);
- Jaime Lorente (Denver);
- Pedro Alonso (Berlin);
- Esther Acebo (Stockholm);
Throughout its seasons, the series La Casa de Papel has broached themes that go far beyond one – or, in this case, two robberies (The Mint and the Central Bank of Spain). At times, the series dealt, in its episodes, with subjects such as: politics, interpersonal relationships, feminism, human rights, the power of money, homosexuality, among others.
Spanish series success
The series La Casa de Papel arrived on Netflix in December 2017 and soon after became a phenomenon. Until reaching the platform, the series had an “independent” production, and was broadcast on the TV network Antena 3, in Spain.
The Spanish Mint robbery became, in a few months, the most watched non-English series on the platform. By April 2018, the series had already surpassed Stranger Things, which had been a Netflix hit until then. With all the success achieved on the streaming platform, the series won stage at awards and was acclaimed as the best drama production at the 2018 International Emmy.
