Of course, as a tall boy of six feet and a little, I regularly got the trite remarks to my head: “Cold up there?” etcetera. You get used to it, shall we say. A more original reaction came from a cheerful lady from the Jordaan: “Wooo, if you were to break you in two, you have two paper boys and they can still reach the letterbox.”
