Fake Pfizer vaccine found in two countries

The American company Pfizer has found fake versions of its coronavirus vaccine in Mexico and Poland. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.

In Mexico, about 80 people received a fake vaccine at a clinic for the approximate cost of $ 1,000 per dose. It is noted that the found bottles were with a fake label.

According to preliminary data, in Poland, the counterfeit drug is actually an anti-wrinkle drug. Local authorities reported that no one had time to receive the fake vaccine.

The vials were seized by authorities in Poland and Mexico during investigations, then Pfizer confirmed the drugs were fake.

On March 18, in Mexico, customs officials found a batch of fake Russian Sputnik V vaccine on board a private jet. Almost six thousand doses of the fake drug were hidden in cooler bags among soft drinks and sweets. The photographs released by the government show that there are errors in the Russian-language inscriptions on the ampoules, including in the spelling of the name of the vaccine.
