Rogozin predicted important changes for the Russian space industry

Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin congratulated industry workers on Cosmonautics Day. The video was posted on the state corporation’s YouTube channel.

According to him, “Russia is not only celebrating the anniversary (of Yuri Gagarin’s flight) and remembering the past, we are also focused on the future, we are on the verge of very important changes in our industry.” In particular, according to him, the country expects a transition to new rocket and space technology, as well as the beginning of lunar research, first by automatic stations, then by cosmonauts.

“The space industry sees tremendous opportunities for international cooperation, and the demonstration of technologies speaks in favor of the fact that very, very many want to be friends and work with Russia,” Rogozin added.

Earlier, cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov, Sergei Kud-Sverchkov, Oleg Novitsky and Pyotr Dubrov congratulated Russians on the Day of Cosmonautics from the ISS. In particular, Novitsky noted that Soviet designers made the country the first space power. “We say thank you to everyone who devoted their lives to the study of the Universe. We thank everyone who worked and continues to work, advancing humanity further and further in the study of space, ”added Dubrov.

The first manned flight into space took place 60 years ago, on April 12, 1961. It lasted 108 minutes. The Vostok launch vehicle with the Vostok-1 spacecraft carrying Yuri Gagarin made a revolution around the Earth and landed in the Saratov region.
