The Ministry of Health and Community Protection participated in the regular meetings of the 55th regular session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers through visual communication technology, where the participating delegation was headed by His Excellency Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Community Protection, and in the presence of Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Al-Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for the Health Centers and Clinics Sector and Public Health.
The meeting included several draft decisions to coordinate positions and consolidate cooperation ties in the framework of the common endeavor to enhance the health of Arab societies, through intensifying efforts and exchanging experiences, as the first project included an Arab strategy and a mechanism for its implementation to obtain Covid 19 vaccines, and unify efforts to ensure the provision and equitable distribution of vaccines on The Arab countries, while the second project dealt with the Arab strategy for a health-friendly budget, in addition to the draft unified speech of the Council of Arab Health Ministers before the 74th session of the General Assembly of the World Health Organization. His Excellency Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al Owais stressed the importance of the UAE’s participation in the meetings of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, praising the efforts and fruitful results achieved by these meetings by addressing priority health issues.
