The flight lasted about 35 minutes and, according to the creator, Professor Stefan Klein, was very pleasant. After the test flight, Klein drove into town in front of the assembled press.
The flying car, which is equipped with a BMW engine and runs on fossil fuel, has room for two people. According to Klein, the car can cover about 1000 kilometers at an altitude of 2,500 meters. In the air, the flying car reaches a speed of 170 kilometers per hour.
Folding out the wings is – unlike many copies that the competition is working on – a piece of cake. It only takes 2 minutes and 15 seconds to convert the car into an airplane. The wings are then unfolded.
