The meeting of athletes, timed to coincide with the celebration of the International Boxing Day, will be the key event of the evening at the Dynamo Moscow volleyball arena.
The 27-year-old Gassiev has 27 wins, 20 knockouts, one defeat and one invalid fight. At the same time, his 39-year-old rival has 21 wins, 13 knockouts and three defeats in his arsenal.
The program of the evening also includes a duel between the bronze medalist of the 2012 Olympics, two-time world champion, and now the holder of the WBA Gold belt in the second flyweight champion Mikhail Aloyan and bronze medalist of the 2016 Games Vladimir Nikitin.
In addition, young boxers from St. Petersburg – Ruslan Kolesnikov and Ilya Popov will enter the ring.
