Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, shows confidence in the IP and its community of fans.
Unfortunately, in the video game industry we sometimes find projects that don’t go well and end up destroying bigger teams. But Halo Infinite won’t be like this for 343 Industries, because according to Phil Spencer, the future of the saga is practically guaranteed regardless of the type of reception that the video game has when it is available.
“I don’t see it that way [como si el futuro de Halo dependiese de esta entrega]”says the executive in a interview with IGN. “Halo will be here in ten years. Is Infinite the scale on which you decide if you live all that time? No, not at all.” And frankly, you have reason to think that IP is the strong enough enough to survive a bump.
Halo will be here in ten years “The game has such a passionate community, story, and background, that it is plain and simple an IP that is going to stay with us. We don’t take it for granted or anything, but I really believe that’s true. ”343 Industries is undoubtedly one of the most veteran and skilled teams at Xbox Game Studios, but it’s not the only one who will enjoy this deal.
“I never want to put a team in a situation where they say, this it has to work or who knows what’s going to happen “continues Spencer. Actually, Halo Infinite has already been through a period of controversy as a result of the graphics that presented his first gameplay of the campaign. Since then, the game has improved a lot on a technical level and those in charge once again win the support (or the benefit of the doubt, at least) of their fans.
Halo Infinite is expected to hit PC and the Xbox ecosystem by the end of the year. This is everything we know about the new multiplayer adventure of the Master Chief and the Spartans.
