Studies have not revealed new side effects from the use of Sputnik V. Kirill Dmitriev, Director General of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, announced this on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel, Komsomolskaya Pravda reports.
According to him, the Russian drug showed “brilliant results” not only at home, but also abroad. Dmitriev noted that the effectiveness of “Sputnik V” is now being studied in many countries of the world, and in most of them the safety of the vaccine has been confirmed “on millions of people.”
Earlier, clinical trials of Sputnik V on adolescents began in Moscow. The required number of volunteers has already been recruited – 100 people from 12 to 17 years old are taking part in the tests.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said earlier that more than three million residents of the capital were vaccinated with the first component of Sputnik V. However, according to him, the hospitalization rate is still at a “very high level.”
