What did the Israeli Foreign Minister say about the appointment of Amir Hayek as ambassador to the UAE?

He added, “Amir Hayek, who has experience and knowledge in the fields of economy and tourism, is the right man to institutionalize the bridge between Israel and the UAE.”

He concluded his tweet by saying: “After the embassy’s opening, it’s time to appoint the first ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. Good luck, Amir.”

The National newspaper said that Hayek is currently the president of the Israel Hotel Association, and he previously headed the Manufacturers Association in Israel.

She indicated that the head of the Israeli mission in the UAE, Eitan Naeh, has been in the UAE since last January.

In September 2020, the UAE and Israel signed a historic peace treaty, in the White House in the presence of former US President Donald Trump.

A few days ago, the UAE opened its embassy in Tel Aviv, with the participation of Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Maryam Al Muhairi, UAE Minister of State for Food and Water Security.
