The State Attorney’s Office for Sustainable Development revealed that the Cumbres National Park Management Plan is enlisted after years of absence of clear rules for its direction.

During the transition process of the outgoing and incoming governments, Raúl Ricardo Pedraza Rodríguez, state attorney for Sustainable Development, reported that signed an agreement between the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) and the National Environment Council (CONAM), to generate this plan.

“A situation that has been dragging on since 1938, that management plan could not be drawn up, the pandemic delayed it since it should have remained in October of last year.

“Especially because of the public consultation that had to be done, the workshops, throughout the area to inform all users, for all who live there and be heard, it was finally achieved, we finished this year; how did we do it? ? Without resources, an amount was needed for that, but the pandemic took them away, “he said.

Pedraza Rodríguez indicated that the support, staff and equipment of the state universities were sought such as the Tecnológico de Monterrey, the Escuela Libre de Derecho, the UDEM and the UANL.

“All the universities participated with personnel and equipment to carry out all the necessary work tables to conclude the public consultation of the management plan.

“Where is it located? In the central offices of Semarnat to begin the issue of Regulatory Improvement, we are already at that stage, and soon we will have the Management Plan of the Cumbres National Park,” commented the state attorney for Sustainable Development.
