Sader begins delivery of Fertilizers for Well-being in Puebla

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader) began the delivery of supplies in the state of Puebla, with the official opening of the Mexican Agriculture-Food Security Distribution Center (Yield) as part of the program Fertilizers for Wellness for the benefit of 20 thousand producers in the state.

The agency reported that this year the service was expanded in 26 municipalities of Puebla, so that 34 thousand hectares of corn and vegetables will be served in order to generate direct and free conditions in the activity in the field of small producers.

During the inauguration, the director of Soil and Water of the Ministry of Agriculture and national coordinator of the Fertilizers program, Areli Cerón Trejo, reiterated that “no one will be left behind and support those who need it most, with priority attention to indigenous producers and women, whom he thanked for the work they do.”

He explained that the support package consists of the delivery of up to 600 kilograms per producer of diammonium phosphate (DAP) depending on the crop; in the case of vegetables, the support includes 100 kilograms of urea and 200 kilograms of DBH per hectare, with a maximum of two hectares per producer.

While, in the case of corn, the input corresponds to 200 kilograms of urea and 100 kilograms of DBH per hectare, with a maximum of two hectares per producer.

He also explained that for the cultivation of grain corn, the package consists of 150 kilograms of urea and 150 kilograms of DBH per hectare, with a maximum of two hectares per producer.
