The futuristic Action-RPG, which is available on Game Pass PC, performs worse on Microsoft’s service.
Lately, on one side or the other, PC users are receiving some bad news in various releases through technical problems that do not seem to make much sense. That happens with The Ascent, the Action-RPG developed by Neon Games which has versions with different results on Steam and Game Pass, leaving users of the Xbox service harmed.
Apparently, and although users quickly realized, the version of The Ascent on Xbox Game Pass does not have DLSS and ray tracing seems to have some other obvious performance issue. Something that has upset the subscribers of the service, since being two games for the same platform, the performance should be identical.
Game creators admit technical issuesNeon Giant, creators of the game, have admitted the problems and have already said that they are working on matching the two versions so that the Xbox Game Pass is similar or identical to that of Steam, not like so far. “We are working on making them work together,” said Tor Frick, co-founder of the study., in response to a user in social networks.
The ray tracing performance in the game gives technical problems that “break” the game, forcing reboots that tarnish the experience. It also appears that the loading times are slightly longer.
