President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received today, Mr. Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, Prime Minister of the Libyan National Unity Government, in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Mr. Abbas Kamel, Head of General Intelligence,” according to the official Egyptian Presidency’s Facebook page.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic said that Sisi welcomed Dabaiba on his visit to Egypt to participate in the meetings of the Egyptian-Libyan Joint Higher Committee, stressing his sovereignty the highest priority that Egypt attaches to restoring stability to sisterly Libya and enabling it to restore its regional and international role.
Al-Sisi stressed Egypt’s firm stance towards respecting Libyan sovereignty and preserving its territorial integrity, rejecting all forms of foreign interference in Libyan internal affairs, as well as strengthening the cohesion of Libyan national institutions and unifying the Libyan National Army to protect the capabilities of the brotherly Libyan people and activate their free will.
He praised the efforts of the Dabaiba government at the internal level to improve the living conditions of the Libyan citizen, expressing his confidence in the ability of the brotherly Libyan people to overcome all the immediate challenges they face in order to rebuild a strong modern state capable of laying the foundations of security and stability in all parts of Libya.
For his part, the Libyan Prime Minister, Dabaiba, affirmed his country’s great appreciation and pride at the official and popular levels for the very important Egyptian role, under the wise leadership of the President, in stabilizing peace and stability in Libya, in light of the brotherly and historical relations that link the two brotherly countries, especially with regard to With the support of Libyan national institutions, and the transfer of Egyptian expertise in the fields of reconstruction and development to Libya, in a manner that meets the aspirations of the Libyan people towards a safe and dignified life, expressing in this context the aspiration to advance Egyptian-Libyan relations in all fields for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples, and support Egyptian investments to implement Various projects on Libyan territory.
