Earlier on the same day, the authority arrested other persons involved in the proceedings – Sberbank managing director Evgeny Zak (until November 28), as well as Kristina Kryuchkova, a teacher at RANEPA (until November 29).

The day before, all three had been searched. At the time of the alleged commission of the crime, Inkin was the general director of the Foundation for New Forms of Education Development, Zak was his deputy. Investigative actions were also organized at the place of residence of the former head of the department of strategy, analysis, forecast and project activities of the Ministry of Education Anna Khamardyuk. All of them participated in the project, in which they revealed the falsification of the reporting documentation.

The fact that Rakova became a defendant in the case of embezzlement of more than 50 million rubles became known on September 29. The investigation is being carried out as part of a criminal case on the fact of embezzlement in the implementation of government contracts in the field of education, concluded with the participation of Rakova in 2019. The case was initiated under Part 4 of Art. 159 (“Fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale”).

According to Sberbank, the case brought against Rakova has nothing to do with the activities of the bank itself.

At the moment, Rakova is hiding from law enforcement officers. The police are looking for her.
