“If COVID progresses, we will take other restrictive measures,” the head of the city said.
Earlier it was reported that in St. Petersburg from November 8, restrictions on the work of a number of public places will be introduced. From the indicated date, catering establishments, circuses, cinemas, cultural institutions, water parks, zoos, skating rinks and attractions can work until 23:00, according to Beglov’s decree. At night, the activities of these organizations are prohibited.
On October 28, in Russia over the past day, 40,096 new cases of COVID-19 were detected for the first time in 85 regions – this is the maximum since the beginning of the pandemic. The total number of infections was 8,392,697. Most of the new cases of coronavirus were registered in Moscow (8440), St. Petersburg (3186) and the Moscow region (2639). Least of all – in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (18 cases), the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (18 cases) and the Magadan Region (31 cases).
