In the city of Yarovoye in the Altai Territory, a team has been formed to overcome the crisis situation that arose after the start of the heating season. Governor Viktor Tomenko said this during a direct line on November 23.
A resident of the city turned to the head of the region with a request to help normalize the work of the local CHPP. Tomenko recalled that problems have been arising with this power facility for a long time, the owners assumed the responsibility to operate the CHP plant normally, but did not fulfill their obligations.

Two years ago, the heating season in Yarovoye was held manually with the participation of the regional authorities. The situation was then normalized. When using the project fuel, it would be possible to continue to operate the CHPP and think about the prospects, but in this regard, preparations for the winter of 2021-2022 were “missed,” the head of the region emphasized.
With the beginning of the current heating season, the station began operating on non-design fuel. Law enforcement agencies will investigate the situation, Tomenko said.
To pass the heating season, a special team has been formed, which, as the governor believes, “will be able to overcome the crisis situation.” The winter period in Yarovoye will again be held in manual mode.
In November 2019, Yarovoye experienced serious problems with heat supply. The reasons were accidents at the thermal power station and the almost complete lack of fuel. An emergency regime was introduced in the city, the speed of coal delivery from Kuzbass was then increased three times. In December, the city was allocated additional funds for the purchase of fuel and the passage of the heating season.
