TSE ends public hearings on rules for the 2022 election – ISTOÉ DINHEIRO

The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) closed today (23) the cycle of public hearings to present suggestions for improving the administrative resolutions that will be applied in the 2022 elections.

For two days, the TSE heard representatives of political parties and public and private institutions. Among others, it was suggested the regulation of polls on the internet for electoral purposes and the authorization for parties to open digital accounts to collect funds and transfers through Pix.

Suggestions were also presented to combat disinformation campaigns about the electoral process and the creation of procedures to receive reports of violence against female candidates.

With the end of the hearings, a technical team from the court will evaluate the suggestions for possible inclusion in the minutes that will be presented for approval by the plenary of the Court. According to the TSE, the resolutions must be voted on this year.

This week, the TSE too performs the Public Security Test (TPS) of the electronic system of the 2022 elections. Until Friday (26), 26 investigators from different institutions will try to carry out 29 plans of attacks on the electronic voting machines. The test is a standard procedure carried out since 2009.
