The Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada Lyudmila Denisova filed a complaint with the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on the Myrotvorets website for publishing the data of a 12-year-old girl Faina Savenkova from Luhansk. The Ombudsman reported this in Facebook…
According to her, the portal violated the provisions of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine on Child Protection, which states that disclosure or publication of any information about a child that may harm him without the consent of the child’s legal representative is prohibited.
In this regard, in an appeal to the SBU and the National Police, Denisova demanded to remove information about the girl from the site.
Faina Savenkova, a 12-year-old girl from the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), was blacklisted by Ukrainian activists after she recorded a video message to French President Emmanuel Macron asking him to influence the settlement of the situation in Donbass.
The site “Peacemaker” states that the child “spreads fake information and his own speculation.” Later, Faina turned to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with a request to close the site as soon as possible. The incident attracted the attention of international organizations.
The Ukrainian site “Peacemaker” was created in 2014 to maintain a list of “enemies of Ukraine”.
